How to Use the MP3 Ripper Shortcut
Once added, using the shortcut to download MP3s is straightforward. You may refer to the steps or video below to see how it works.
Step 1. Open the Shortcuts app and tap to run the MP3 Ripper shortcut.
Step 2. It will ask you to input the song name and artist name. Type in the query and tap “Done” to continue. If you don’t know the song name, you can check my Shazam to MP3 shortcut.
Step 3. The shortcut will start searching and downloading the song in MP3 format. Once downloaded, it will prompt you to select a location on your iPhone or iCloud to save the music.
If you don’t want to get prompted, you can open the shortcut and scroll down to the Save File action. Expand the action and toggle off “Ask where to save”.
Then you may open the Files app to find the downloaded song. If you use a Mac, you may open the Finder app to locate the MP3 file.
Additionally, you can run the shortcut from music app share sheet. For example, within YouTube app, you can tap the Share button and select the MP3 Ripper shortcut to download YouTube video to MP3 on iPhone or Mac.
