In this post, you will learn how to set a Spotify song as a ringtone on iPhone for free with a computer. Besides, you can use this method to make custom ringtone on iPhone with any songs. The best part, you don’t need to install third-party apps to convert Spotify to iPhone ringtone.

Download Spotify Tracks on iPhone for Ringtone

To put a song from Spotify as a ringtone on iPhone, you need to download the Spotify song as MP3 first. I have made a custom shortcut, Spotify to MP3, to download Spotify tracks to your iOS device. You can refer to the steps below to see how it works.

Step 1. Get the Spotify to MP3 shortcut from our Spotify shortcuts collection. Click Get Shortcut to import the shortcut to your Shortcuts library.

Step 2. Open Spotify app on your iPhone and find the song you want to set as a ringtone. Tap the Share button on the song and select More.

Step 3. From the Share Sheet, scroll down a bot to select the Spotify to MP3 shortcut.

Step 4. The shortcut will download the Spotify track to your iPhone. When done, it will prompt you to select a location on your iPhone or iCloud to save the downloaded track.

If you don’t have the Spotify app on your iPhone, you can copy the Spotify track URL and run the shortcut within the Shortcuts app. This shortcut also works on macOS Monterey and newer versions, so you can use it to download Spotify songs to MP3 on your Mac.

If you only need to set Spotify songs as an alarm on iPhone, you don’t need to download the track on your iPhone. The Shortcuts can help you work this around.

Put Custom Ringtone on iPhone

To set a downloaded Spotify song as a custom ringtone on your iPhone, you simply need to acquire the GarageBand app, developed by Apple Inc. GarageBand is an application available for both iOS and macOS, primarily used for sound and audio editing.

Once you’ve installed GarageBand, you can proceed with the following steps or refer to the video below:

Step 1. Launch GarageBand and select Audio Recorder.

Step 2. Tap on the third icon on the top left side of the app.

Step 4. Tap on the Apple Loops icon next to the Setting icon from the top right.

Garageband Import Files

Step 5. Under the Files tab, click “Browser items from the Files app” to import the downloaded Spotify track. Dage the track to Garageband.

Step 6 [optional]. Split the slider on both sides to crop the desired part of the song for the ringtone.

Step 7. Tap the first icon from the top left and select My Songs. Then it will save the song in Files app.

Export Ringtone

Step 8. Hold down on the custom song, select Share, then Ringtone. Modify the ringtone name as desired, tap Export, and select Use Sound as Standard Ringtone.

Now, your custom ringtone is set as the default ringtone for your iPhone. You can view and adjust this in Settings > Sounds > Ringtone.

Besides Spotify, you can also use Chrunos Multi Downloader shortcut to download music from YouTube, Apple Music, Deezer, etc. Then you can follow the steps above to set the song as your iPhone ringtone.

Other Ways to Make Custom Ringtone on iPhone

I have tried other apps from App Store and they all need Garageband to make custom ringtone on iPhone. Some of them can extract audio from video and trim the audio file to make ringtone. What’s worse, these apps contain ads and require in-app purchases. Therefore, I don’t recommend you to try them.

If you have a Mac, you can also use the GarageBand on your Mac to make custom ringtone. For Windows users, you can try iTunes to make ringtones and transfer them to your iPhone via USB cable.

Conclusion

If you follow the steps above, you can put any song from Spotify to iPhone as a ringtone. You only need the Shortcuts app (built-in) and Garageband (from Apple) to achieve it. When you meet any issues using this method, feel free to contact our support team, Telegram preferred.
