In this post, you will learn 3 different methods to download LinkedIn Learning courses on your PC or Mac. Since all the Lynda courses and instructors have been relocated to LinkedIn Learning, you can use the same way to download Lynda videos.
You can download any video that you are watching without additional apps or download all videos from one Linkedin Learning course in one go for offline viewing.
Download LinkedIn Learning Videos with Your Web Browser Only
Many times, I watch LinkedIn learning courses online. If you are like me, you can easily download any video that you are watching without other third-party tools or extensions. All you need is your web browser Developer Tools.
You may have never used it, but it is easy and powerful. Let me show you how to do that step by step. Actually, you can use this method to download videos from many websites online besides Linkedin.
Step 1. Launch your web browser (Firefox is mostly recommended here) and go to the LinkedIn Learning video that you want to download. Of course, you should log in with your LinkedIn account.
Step 2. Right-click on any blank space and select Inspect to open Developer Tools. You can also press F12 on Windows or Option+Command+I on macOS. In the Developer Tools, click on the Network tab and select Media as the screenshot below.
Step 3. You should be able to see the LinkedIn Learning video MP4 file URLs. If nothing under the Media tab, you can reload this page and play the video.
Step 4. Copy URL to a Downloader app or simply open it in a new tab to start downloading the Linkedin Learning video.
If you use Chrome, the downloading URLs may not appear even after refresh. In that case, you can click the “All” tab instead of “Media” and sort them by size, from largest to smallest. The video URLs should be at the top results since videos are usually large in size.
There are a few more Developer Tools features that I think everyone should use.
Video Downloader Add-on That Works for Linkedin
If you think the Developer Tools method is a little complicated, you can also use a downloader add-on or extension. For that, I recommend Video Downloader Professional for Firefox or other video downloader extensions for Chrome.
Once installed, you can click on the add-on icon at the right top of your Toolbar. From there, you can select video quality to download on your computer. This also allows you to download videos from many other websites besides Linkedin Learning videos.
Download All videos from LinkedIn Learning
If you want to download all videos from one Linkedin Learning course in one go, You can use a program called Allavsoft. It allows you to download videos from Linkedin Learning, Udemy, YouTube, Spotify, Deezer, and many more in batches. It is available in Windows and macOS.
In Settings, you can also select the language of the subtitles in the videos. The program will download your preferred language if available. You can also download the audio only if your prefer and create multiple downloading tasks. You can refer to the steps below to see how it works.
Step1. Download and Install Allavsoft for Windows or macOS based on your situation.
Step 2. Copy and paste the Linkedin Learning course URL. You can also choose the output format of the video if needed. By default, the program will download Linkedin Learning videos in 1080p MP4 format.
Step 3. Click the Download icon to start downloading. Wait a few seconds and, you will be prompted to enter your Linkedin Learning account and password to continue.
Step 4. Now you can choose to download all videos in the Linkedin Learning course or just the first one.
When the file is downloaded, you can right-click and select “Locate Downloaded File” to find it. Of course, you can specify a location to save all the downloaded files. You can also convert the downloaded files to another format.
If you don’t like this downloader app, you can choose one from our private video downloaders list. It includes downloaders for Android and iOS.
Conclusion
