As a content marketer, I spend most of my working time with a web browser. Some Chrome extensions really help me save a lot of time, so I share these Chrome extensions for content marketing. Hopefully, these help you marketers get more information and make better decisions.
Keywords Everywhere
This is my favorite Chrome Extension that I rely on every day. As its name suggests, this tool, Keywords Everywhere, displays keywords metrics including search volume and CPC data on multiple websites.
As you know, Since the middle of 2016, Google shop to show exact search volume in keywords Planner. With this Chrome extension configured, you will see the old monthly search volume data again in Keywords Planner.
Besides, it supports websites including Google Search (data shown under the search box), Google Search Console, Google Analytics, YouTube, Bing, Amazon, eBay, AnswerThePublic.com, Majestic, etc.
A recent update, this tool also shows multiple relevant keywords data at the right side blank space while you search from Google. After using this tool, I barely use any keyword research tools.
MozBar
If you are familiar with Moz domain authority (DA) and page authority (PA). This extension MozBar shows you instant metrics including DA, PA and backlinks count while viewing any page or search results.
What’s more, it allows you to quickly access Moz Link Explorer metrics by click. If you have subscription of Moz, you will get even more data.
vidIQ Vision for YouTube
if you do YouTube marketing, which you should, then this extension vidID Vision is a must-have. It help you discover what makes a video go viral by showing YouTube Analytics data and other metrics on YouTube pages, so you can optimize your videos to get more views.
This extension includes vidIQ Score, Velocity, Average Watch Time, Social Media Likes/Shares/Comments, Tags, Words per Minute, Description Link Count, and Description Word Count. You can also get a paid version to have more data.
Check My Links
Check My Links quickly finds all the links on a web page and highlight them for you to review. If you worry about broken links problem on your site or you do broken link building, this one is really helpful.
Scraper
Speaking of broken link building, you can also use Scraper to scrape multiple results to Google Spreadsheet and use a crawl tool like Screaming Frog to check a list of pages for dead links.
Scraper is a very simple data mining extension that allows you to export multiple similar data into spreadsheet form quickly. Once installed, you can right-click on a web item and select Scrape Similar to scrape all this kind of results to a spreadsheet.
Detailed SEO Extension
Detailed SEO Extension is developed by full-time SEOs for daily analysis and provides SEO insights for any website with the press of a button. It enables you to retrieve their title tag, meta description, meta robots tag, and a great deal more. With its SEO analysis feature, this extension can save you hours of time browsing through the source code of a webpage.
MailTracker for Gmail
MailTracker allows you to track the emails you send in Gmail. It also indicates the devices used by your recipients and their locations. As a digital, marketer, you probably send a lot of outreach emails every day.
Do you want to know whether the recipient opens the email or not? This extension can do exactly that. What’s more, in the conversation view, you can see the complete history of the openings and clicks. You have also the locations and devices used.
Ubersuggest
Ubersuggest is a free Chrome extension and a powerful SEO tool that shows you keywords’ monthly search volume, CPC & competition data. The Ubersuggest extension will provide you with keyword insights for the results of searches on Google. You can also analyze SEO data on any website you visit including traffic overview, domain authority, and backlinks.
BuzzSumo
Do you need to find out a web page’s popularity? BuzzSumo extension allows you to get social share counts for the page you’re viewing, or for any other website quickly.
You can use it to find the most popular pages on your competitor’s site and create a better version of them. After that, you can use BuzzSumo to see who shared the competitor’s page and ask them to share the better version of the content that you created.
What’s also worth mentioning is that you can see the number of Twitter shares with BuzzSumo even though Twitter shares are no longer available from the official Tweet button.
Grammarly for Chrome
The extension Grammarly is the one that I cannot live without. With Grammarly, I do not worry about spelling or grammar errors while writing blog comments, tweets, forum posts, etc.
Besides making your writing clear, mistake-free, and impactful, Grammarly also provides an Office add-on to check errors and improve your writing on Office Word and Outlook.
Other marketing Chrome extensions worth mentioning
All these Chrome extensions help me a great deal. I cannot think how I do content marketing without those Chrome extensions. Besides these tools, I also installed other Chrome extensions.
As I also do some SEO audit for other websites, I need Tag Assistant (By Google) to see if tags are all installed correctly, GA Debug to see if the right data are sending to Google Analytics.
As I write a blog post, I need to include some screenshots in my post. For that, I use 1Click Screenshot to capture web screenshots. For finding email addresses for any site, I use Find email addresses.
