Download Music from Pandora with a Userscript
If a Pandora Paid subscription is not an option for you, then the best option to download music from Pandora is to use a userscript. This script, Pandora Music Replay and Download, can add a download button next to each song on Pandora’s web player.
A userscript is a piece of code that can modify the behavior or appearance of a website. To use a userscript, you need to install a script manager extension that can run it, such as Tampermonkey. What’s more, you can also use Tampermonkey on Android or iOS.
To download music with this userscript, follow these steps:
1. Install Tampermonkey from the Chrome web Store, Firefox Add-ons, or Opera Add-ons.
2. Go to the Pandora Music Replay and Download userscript page and click on the Install this script button.
3. Go to the Pandora website and sign in with your account.
4. Play the station or song you want to download.
5. You will see a Replay and Download button next to the song is playing
6. Click on the Download button to save the song from Pandora as an M4A file.
7. Repeat steps 4-6 for each song you want to download.
Downloading Pandora Songs with Developer Tools
Another way to download music from Pandora is to use the developer tools of your browser. This method works best on Chrome, but you can also try it on other browsers that support inspecting elements. The idea is to find the media link of the song you want to download in the Network tab of the developer tools, and then save it as an M4A file.
To download songs with developer tools, follow these steps:
1. Open Chrome on your computer and go to the Pandora website.
2. Sign in with your Pandora account and play the station or song you want to download.
3. Right-click anywhere on the page and select Inspect from the menu.
4. Click on the Network tab in the developer tools window.
5. Look for a file name that ends with .mp3 or .m4a in the Name column. This is the media link of the song you are playing.
6. Right-click on the file name and select Open in the new tab from the menu.
7. In the new tab, right-click on the audio player and select Save from the menu.
8. Choose a location and a name for your file and click Save.
9. Repeat steps 2-8 for each song you want to download.
Note: You may have to rename the downloaded file with a proper song title and artist name, as they may not be included in the file name.

The Shortcuts is a built-in app on iPhone, iPad, and Mac for automation. If you have an iPhone or Mac, you can also use an Apple shortcut to download songs from Pandora. I made a shortcut, Chrunos Multi Downdownloader, to download Pandora songs to MP3.
You can run it from Pandora Share Sheet or copy Pandora song link to run it from Shortcuts app. Sometimes, the shortcut may not appear in share sheet, which is a system bug. In that case, you can simply copy the Pandora track link and open the Shortcuts app to run the shortcut.
When the song is downloaded, it will prompt you to select a location on your iPhone or iCloud to save it. If you don’t want to get prompted, you can open the shortcut and change the Save File action. Simply toggle off the option “Ask Where To Save” and pick a preferred location.
