So maybe you’ve finally decided to take the plunge and enlist a bit of help growing your Instagram. No shame in it, IG has over a billion monthly users and is a major player in terms of having an online presence. You may have heard of a few growth agencies that claim to be able to help, but how can we separate the scams from the legitimate? We’re here to help.
If you check out some of the threads, forums, or reviews of Instagram growth agencies, you’ll inevitably come across the name Growthoid. Growthoid claims to get you real Instagram followers, “no fakes or bots” – when in reality, that’s exactly what it is they use – fakes and bots. We decided it was time to review them ourselves.
What Is Growthoid?
Growthoid is an (alleged) Instagram growth agency that really tries its best to convince you it is genuine. They claim to get you real Instagram followers, no bots or fakes, together with a website full of information that almost makes you believe it to be true. Yet, there seems to be something rather disingenuous about the whole thing. Their ‘three easy steps’ approach to grabbing your attention is laughable when you compare it to the many bad reviews and complaints that Growthoid receives.
But, their website is – we suppose – what draws people in in the first place. Let’s review them in greater detail.
How Does Growthoid Work?
Right, let’s compare here how they claim to work and how they actually work.
Alleged
‘Target Similar Profiles’ – they claim that they will create a list of profiles similar to yours, or ones that could be of interest so that they can “target people who care about your content”
‘Grab Their Awareness’ – Growthoid states that they will seek to target people who fit your ideal target demographic, meaning you’ll only attract followers that are relevant to your account or content.
‘Get Instagram Followers’ – As if by magic, right? This is the stage where Growthoid claims that your Account Manager will engage with said targeted accounts and that you’ll notice an “immediate” increase in Instagram followers.
Reality
The reality is that, unfortunately, the only ‘followers’ you’ll receive are from fake accounts. Growthoid – quite notoriously, use bots to increase growth. And that’s if you see any growth at all. Furthermore, you’ll struggle to make contact with anybody from their team. The only movement you’ll actually see is money being taken from your account each month.
Growthoid Alternative – Top Instagram Growth Agency
After going through and researching the best alternatives to Growthoid, it became pretty clear that a service called FollowFox was the best choice. They have a clear, concise website with no sugar coating. Yet, if we haven’t learned by now not to trust what is written on a website, we haven’t learned anything. So we decided to double-check this by checking out FollowFox’s reviews and what people think of them on forums. For the most part, they come across as a genuine Instagram growth agency and ensures you receive real, organic Instagram growth. No bots! Hooray!
FollowFox also seems to have a transparent and legitimate pricing system, unlike Growthoid who just sniffles money out of your account without giving you anything back.
Growthoid Features
Growthoid’s website is full of features they claim to be beneficial for Instagram growth. Problem is, they don’t seem to have the goods to back it up. Among their listed features are:
- 3-day free trial. It’s a very popular option to offer free trials nowadays. As it should be, too, as you never really know what you’re going to get until you try it. However, it’s pretty pointless to offer a 3-day free trial if a) you’re going to represent a service that the customer will never end up actually receiving if they go ahead and buy a plan and b) is not truly representative of what it is they are actually offering.
- FAQs. Growthoid has a FAQ page that seems to answer every question or concern you may have, further luring people into a false sense of security with their service.
- Reviews. The reviews page is seemingly full of great, positive reviews of Growthoid with nothing but praise for them. We, however, were not born yesterday and can spot a fake review a mile off. Growthoid Pricing
Okay so – Growthoid offers two different pricing plans. Standard, at $49 a month, and Premium at $99 – both claiming to be a discounted price. The Standard option is said to be for moderate organic growth, and the Premium for maximum. Yet, we’ve failed to find any information to suggest that this is true. More often than that, reviews claim that money was taken from people’s accounts, and no growth was received. We’ve also read that, despite countless attempts, customers fail to be able to make contact with Growthoid.
Is Growthoid Legit?
The quick answer: absolutely not. What’s more, it’s challenging to find one (genuine) positive review of Growthoid. The overwhelmingly noticeable feedback of Growthoid’s ‘service’ is that of an unhappy one. Little to no growth, done by bots, impossible to contact, very hard to cancel your membership. All in all, a total scam that’ll leave you with less in your bank account and nothing to show for it.
Is Growthoid Safe?
It’s safe in terms of they won’t take more money out of your account than you signed up for. That’s literally the only way that Growthoid could ever be classed as safe. Try to cancel your membership, however, and you may encounter some issues. For your Instagram account though, no, it most certainly is NOT safe, and could lead to your account being blocked due to bots being defected.
Growthoid Final Review
Every new company deserves the right to a fair shot and to try to make a name for itself. However, when you offer a service, take peoples money and do not deliver, you’ve effectively ruined that opportunity. Growthoid had the chance to be something really good, but have ruined it by using bots, having terrible customer service and not delivering on their promises. A simple skim over this thread on the Reddit forum is the perfect example of how their service leaves customers dissatisfied. We don’t like dishonesty, which is why, based on all of the information written on here, we recommend genuine services like FollowFox instead.
