As one of my friends said, DRM (digital rights management) only hurts paid users. After paying a subscription fee to Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz, or others, you cannot download the music and listen to it on your favorite music player. If you want to legally save the music, you can record the music, so, in this article, I will recommend you a dedicated program for recording music in an amateur or professional way.

Leawo Music Recorder Overview

The Leawo Music Recorder provides a professional solution for users to record streaming music, online music and any audio input (built-in microphone or other audio stream input).

The recorder is designed with a task scheduler that allows users to schedule a recording. Before starting to record music, users can freely define an output directory to save recorded music files, choose the audio source for recording and define the output format (MP3 or WAV) and audio settings. After recording, it allows you to add recorded music to iTunes library with 1 click.

This music recording program can automatically add music tags such as title, artist, album, year, genre and cover. These settings can also be edited manually. It is a multi-language program, which supports English, Japanese, and German.

Pros and Cons

Although this recording program is powerful in recording music and audio files, it does have some drawbacks. Let me break down all the pros and cons below.

PROS:

  1. Easy to use the program and concise interface.
  2. The scheduler for scheduling recording (recording start time and duration) of music
  3. Record computer audio (local or online audio file), or audio input (microphone or other audio stream built-in input).
  4. Online support for almost all streaming music sites, such as: Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Pandora, FM Radio, etc.
  5. Output settings including output directory, output format (MP3 or WAV) and audio configuration (Audio codec, bit rate and sample rate).
  6. Automatically adds song tags, including title, artist, album, year, genre and which are also manually editable.
  7. Internet connection configuration (Proxy).
  8. Multiple UI skins.
  9. Internal audio player and the “Add to iTunes” button to directly add recorded music files to iTunes.
  10. Online help and support from the Leawo Software team.

CONS:

  1. Limited language support, at the moment, there are only 3 types: English, Japanese and German.
  2. No fast recording. To record 1 5 minutes song, you need to play the song in full.
  3. It’s not free.

Pricing

To download the music recording program, go to the official Leawo Software website. It is free to try it out. Although it is only possible to record up to 3 minutes of content with the trial version, which is pretty good because some tracks are under 3 minutes.

You can pay $ 19.99 to get a one-year version for unlimited features. There is also a lifetime version available, which is $29.99.

Conclusion

Leawo music recorder is an excellent quality program for recording all types of music or audio files. With it, you can enjoy a rich content of songs online and offline without loss of quality. I can even transfer the recorded music files to my portable devices like the iPod, iPad, Sony Walkman media player, or any other audio player for offline listening. For those who like to listen to music offline, it is worth checking.

  1. I have found the only problem so far with the Leawo music recorder is failing to capture titles and artist info plus it is not separating the songs. I stream Amazon HD albums and the time between songs is very short, Leawo smallest time is .2 seconds, that is where I set my control and it is not working for me.
