Previously, I have shared a few Spotify Downloader apps for Windows. Here, I have picked 4 working Spotify playlist Downloader apps for Mac. You can use them to download Spotify playlist to MP3, OGG, or other formats.
Spotify Playlist Downloader Shortcut
The Shortcuts app for Mac is a powerful automation tool that enables you to streamline tasks and workflows across your macOS devices. It provides a user-friendly interface for creating custom shortcuts by combining multiple actions.
I have made Spotify Playlist Downloader shortcut for downloading all tracks in a playlist to MP3. Click the button below to get the shortcut.
Once you have the shortcut, you modify it for your preference. By default, the shortcut saves downloaded music files to iCloud/Shortcuts/Music folder. If you don’t have such a folder, it will fail. To change it, locate the “Save Encoded Media to Music” action. Click on Music to select another location in Finder.
With that set up, you can copy a Spotify playlist URL and run this shortcut. It will ask you how many songs in the playlist, which does not need to be exact. If you only need to download a single track, you can also use my Spotify to MP3 shortcut.
If you have iPhone or iPad, you can run the shortcut from Spotify Share Sheet to download music without leaving the app. With this shortcut, you can download as many songs as you want for free.
For better music quality (320kbps or higher), you can check our premium plan to get advanced shortcuts.
Multi-Source Music Downloader – iTuneGo
iTubeGo is a multi-source media downloader for Mac and WIndows that allows you to batch download Spotify songs to MP3, OGG, FLAC, or other formats. You can download multiple Spotify tracks, albums, playlists at the same time.
You just need to copy and paste the Spotify music or playlist link to iTuneGo and it will directly download Spotify to MP3 in 320kbps. The downloaded music is DRM free and you can play the downloaded Spotify music offline on Apple Music, iPhone, Android devices, iPod, etc.
While downloading, iTubeGo will keep all the metadata that Spotify provides including ID3 info, thumbnail, or cover image.
If you don’t like MP3 format, iTubeGo also allows you to convert Spotify music to FLAC, M4A, AC3, WAV, AIFF, OGG, etc. In settings, you can set your preferred audio format.
As a multiple source media downloader, iTubeGo also allows you to download music from Deezer, YouTube, Qobuz, Tidal, SoundCloud, etc. What’s more, you can use it to download videos from OnlyFans, YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
Online Spotify Playlist Downloader
If you don’t want to install any apps on your Mac, you can use an online Spotify downloader to download playlists. I have tested a few online Spotify downloaders and picked one of my favorite. That is SpotiSongDownloader.
You just paste a Spotify playlist URL there and it will offer you a button to download all songs in a ZIP file. Along with it, it displays all songs and you can click the corresponding button to download each one separately.
Compared to other so called Spotify Downloader, this one offers regional 256kbps M4A files, not upscaled 320kbps.
However, free users can only download 100 songs from a playlist and 500 songs for paid members.

The iTubego option is the most powerful as it supports way more sites than Spotify, but it is a paid tool. Free version are limited to download 3 items only.
