Compared to the Ultimate Downloader shortcut, this one supports more sites and allows you to download Instagram story.
Shortcut #3 – All Media Downloader
All Media Downloader is another good shortcut for downloading videos from social media sites. While in a social media app, press Share and select the All Media Downloader shortcut from share sheet to download the media.
It supports YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Twitter, TikTok, and Pinterest. It can also download Instagram Reels, IGTV, photos, and stories. When you input a TikTok URL, it can download TikTok video without watermark.
Shortcut #4 – Ultimate Downloader

Depending on the link you pass to this shortcut, you can download video, audio, or photos (only for Twitter and Instagram). However, it only works for public videos. You need another dedicated shortcut for downloading private videos from Facebook or other sites.
Simply copy the URL of the video you wish to download and execute the shortcut from the Shortcuts app or the Share sheet to use this shortcut. The shortcut will then prompt you to select the video’s quality and format before saving it to your camera roll or Files app.
Shortcut #5 – SW-DLT (iPhone or iPad Only)
If you are looking for a shortcut to download videos or audio from as many sites as possible, SW-DLT is your ultimate choice. This shortcut uses open source utilities yt-dlp, gallery-dl, and FFmpeg to download and merge files.
To use the shortcut, you need to have A-Shell or A-Shell Mini (default option) installed on your. These are applications that allow you to run commands using a terminal-like interface. When you run this for the first time, it may take much longer because it will install yt-dlp on your iOS device.
Once it finishes installing the requirements, you may need to run it again to start downloading videos, audio, or images. When you pass a link, it will give you 4 options: Download Video, Download Audio, Download Playlist, and Download Gallery.
Each option allows you to select quality and framerate. When downloaded, it will bring the media for preview and then you can tap Share to save it to Photo Library or Files. What’s more, it can also download YouTube playlists.

Shortcut #7 – yt-dlp for Mac
The first 4 shortcuts will also work on your Mac, but only works for a handful of websites. I created a shortcut to use yt-dlp on Mac to download videos from thousands of websites. You can also use it to download private videos from YouTube, Facebook, and other websites.
To use it, you need to install Python3 on your Mac first because I use the Pip3 command to upgrade yt-dlp. If you have already installed yt-dlp, you should modify the command accordingly. The shortcut is set to download all files to the Downloads folder. You can also change it in the command.
Once set up, you can copy a video link to run this shortcut. If you want to use the Download Video Best Quality option, you should also install FFmpeg on your Mac.
For downloading private videos, be sure to play the private video on the Chrome browser first. If you prefer another browser, you need to change the Run Shell Script command from “chrome” to “edge” or “safari”.
I set the audio format to MP3 when downloading audio. You can change it to any format you prefer.
Conclusion
These 7 ultimate video downloader shortcuts allow you to save videos from numerous websites. Compared to other downloader apps, they are built in on your iPhone or Mac. You can easily use it from share sheet without leaving the app where you browse videos.
